I've always been full of admiration for the people behind True Gum and the journey they've been and still are on! So that's why I feel privileged to help them with the series design of their new product, True Dates. The brief was to maintain the True Gum universe, but expand it to embrace new product categories. True Dates is a snacking revolution and the best of both worlds. Simply put, True Dates are a delicious treat that combines the natural sweetness of dates with beloved candy and dessert flavours. It's like enjoying your favourite treat, but in a more clean, natural dried fruit format, wrapped in home compostable packaging. In other words, it was about communicating candy flavour in a design that would also say healthy natural candy. The ambition was to shake up the snacking industry once more and offer consumers a healthier (and still super tasty) alternative to traditional candy. What a treat for a designer – working on this project has truly been True love!
